Congratulations
on owning ViewPlus IVEO Creator and Converter! IVEO technology is used to
create, distribute, and display Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG) graphical
information so it is usable by all people.
The Creator and Converter applications permit a user to create some
simple graphical information, but their major power is their ability to import
and internally organize information from virtually any source to assure maximum
usability by all.
IVEO Creator and the IVEO Viewer, available
free from http://www.ViewPlus.com, have standard visual displays that sighted
Windows users will find easy and intuitive to use. A special full screen uncluttered 'Accessibility
View' may be selected by people who are blind or who have other severe print
impairments. IVEO Creator and Viewer
permit text and object labels and descriptions to be spoken when selected. A ViewPlus IVEO Touchpad and access to a
ViewPlus embosser are necessary to enable good IVEO audio, Braille, and
tactile access to information by people with severe print disabilities. The tactile image created by the ViewPlus
embosser permits people to feel text or images, and the IVEO Touchpad, on
which that tactile image is clamped, is a mouse that then may be clicked by the
user to select and voice text and object information.
IVEO
Converter is a utility that permits Windows applications to create a
well-structured SVG file with excellent image and text fidelity. When opened in IVEO Creator, text labels are
recognized and automatically organized into parts that are intuitively readable
in audio. Creator users can add labels
and descriptions to graphical objects, assuring that the information is easily
usable by all people. This organization
information is introduced into the electronic file but is not visible on the
image. Creator can also import bit-map
images and scan in images from paper.
Text in such images is recognized by Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
Creator users may create invisible
overlay objects to label and describe important portions of bit-maps so that
access to bit-map information by people with print disabilities can be
comparable to vector graphic accessibility.
Some
Creator features require mouse manipulation that only a sighted person can do,
but most features are usable by people who are blind or have other print
disabilities.
With
IVEO Creator and Converter one can:
- Develop fully-accessible interactive materials such as simple talking maps,
charts and diagrams in the IVEO SVG format.
- Convert files of many Windows
applications including MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, and CorelDraw, into IVEO
SVG.
- Convert PDF into IVEO SVG
- Convert graphical information
scanned from paper documents to IVEO SVG
- Scale
documents to any size independently
- Read any of
these documents visually, in audio, and/or in Braille.
